A large fleet of small Peckett W4 class locomotives were produced from the end of the 19th century until 1906. The diminutive shunters featured dual 14inch cylinders and were used extensively on a number of industrial railways across the UK, including the Manchester Ship Canal, Ebbw Vale Steelworks and Huntley & Palmers. |
