The Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway produced a total of 60 Class 21 locomotives to perform shunting duties. Nicknamed ‘Pugs’, these iconic dockside and goods yard shunters were spread far and wide across the UK and their rugged, powerful design helped them to stay in service for over 70 years. |
