Hi Tonyhump,
There is a Japenese company called Tomix, who do beautifully detailed high speed trains from around the world in N as well as JNR and other slower trains. I'm sure a model of the Hitachi Javelin would be on the cards, considering they were made in Japan.
Keep 'em peeled.

My advice is to avoid the Hornby Javelin at present, it tends to suffer from burnt out motor troubles due to people wanting to run scale length trains and it's has a nasty habit of shreddding and/or stretching it's traction tyres which are like hens teeth at present to get. It's also grossly underpowered having a single tiny motor. Hopefully they will sort the models problems out with time. Othwerwise it's a lovely model.

The one they used in the record attempt had multiple non standard more powerful motors and failed at Instow primarily due to traction tyre failure causing the eventual failure of the motors with so much extra weight having to be added after the tyres failed, I was there. For those who have seen the show James May very briefly mentions beefed up motors. The production model in the shops ain't so hot!
