Shed code 89C

Postby Martint » 23 Jul 2010 16:09

I am hoping someone out there can help me. I am sure I saw that one of the 2 major RTR manufacturers recently produced a loco with shed code 89C - but I'm blowed if I can trace it! Did anybody spot it and keep a note of it? Thanks Nick

I can't say for sure but, i would more than likely be the BR standard claas 3 2-6-2T No 82030 in green livery as this was a Machynleth loco for a number of years before being transfered to the southern region.
Only one snag, the Bachmann model is in lined out green livery and all the pictures I have seen show the actual loco in PLAIN green livery.

Thanks Dukedog, I've admired your layout and you and I are travelling down the same tracks - it's a wonderful part of the world. See my maunderings on the BBC Mid Wales website under Martin's Memories.

I shall try to get a closer look at the Bachmann, thanks for your help.
