Happy new year to all modellers and their apprentices Having several of the new Schools Class on my layout my mind is cast back to when the older Bulleids had their rubber tyres(Yes i am dated) and what disaster they were Needless to say Hornby soon changed them???

One of mine Harrow, suitably altered from a Blundells has shed a tyre. Previously a Brighton untouched except for real coal in the tender, shed a tyre and then actually cut one when again a tyre was shed. The downloaded decriptive sheet shewed that spare tyres were an nonentity Hornby could not im afraid give an explanation as could not East kent Spares who only had spare tyres for the T9 part No. X9962
Taking the bull by the proverbials as both the schools and T9 have 6'7" wheels and both have tyres i thought id try Success I duly informed Hornby and east kent. Has anyone else had problems with these tyres or is it me(dont answer too quick????)All the best Ron robinson
