The elegant Class B12 locomotive included in this magnificent Mainline Steam set is wonderfully lined in the true LNER style of the 1930's and hauls two classic teak coaches. Exquisite detail and fine finishing makes this a truly impressive train-set for any railway fan, whether young or old!

A lovely passenger set hitting the price mark at the right level. The B12 ran smoothly and the coaches were lovely, these are all former Tri-ang models. The only real bug with the set is the B12 it seems lacking something, the old Tri-ang B12's had smoke and the famous powerful X.04 motor, I found the Hornby version of the old Tri-ang B12 in the set to be very underpowered the little can motor Hornby fit was having a struggle with a twelve coach train that a Tri-ang example just romped away with moments earlier. Otherwise highly recommended.
