The main reason for buying this model was the fact that Bachmann have not carried over the Class 66 into a Class 59. However, the Hornby model is made well, the livery is well applied and looks good on the model, sadly no etched plates. The model enerally runs well although its only driven from one bogie which is a bit dissapointing, have not load tested it yet. Worse than that is the fact the model does not come with any running lights, its also not finely detailed as a Bachmann Class 66 is and to improve the front end I fitted a detailing pack from a Bachmann Class 66 (hoses and front skirt, just need a hook now, have temp fitted the Hornby one). I will fit a set of Express Model lights to finish it off and lightly weather it, but it fits in well alongside the Bachmann models and was a good purchase..
