R1121 Devon Flyer Train Set. The romance of the railways in Britain was at its best when hundreds of minor cross country lines traversed the counties of Britain. In those days drivers on these rural routes such as those found in Devon would encounter unscheduled stops along the line picking up or dropping of goods as they went from village to village. These trains were often subjects of local humour and given nicknames similar to the Devon Flyer!

A nice little starter set for young and not so young. A good introduction to model railways, with ficticious branch line loco and three decent wagons. I have marked the set down as the flashy control unit isn't worth another £10 on the retail price when compaired to the lovely little R.1085 Local Freight Set which is exactly the same apart from livery and control unit. Otherwise a lovely set.
