I am trying to use these with a Lenz LS150 accesory controller. Because these units draw very high current, you have to use a 45VA transformer with the LS150 otherwise it will keep tripping the accesory requiring a reset (read switch off switch on). The point motors have very small holes for the connection to the point bar and are best used for Hornby points. Peco points have a much thicker pin on the points bar and have to be trimmed if used with this points motor.
It might be better to use a Hornby accesory controller as it has a CDU which will drive these points motors much better. However, looking on other forums, this can pose a problem for users of the Hornby Select which only has a 1 amp transformer, it cause the Select to reset.
Measuring the resistance of the points motor, it is between 3.4 and 3.8 ohm.
Note: These motors are very nice as you can, using a piece of celluloid, mount these permanently onto a set of points for use in non-permanent tracks. The points and the point motor then become a single unit.
