BR Green Class 50 'Sir Edward Elgar' Weathered. Exclusive to Hornby collectors club members. Built at the English Electric Vulcan Foundry in 1967, this particular Class 50 was originally named 'Hercules' but in February 1984 was renamed 'Sir Edward Elgar' and at the same time was liveried in GWR green as part of the GWR 150 commemorations.
The model is representative of 'Sir Edward Elgar' as it ran from 1984 until it was withdrawn for preservation in March 1994.
This is a certificated limited edition model of 500 pieces and is priced £89.99 (plus p+p), available exclusively to members of the Hornby Collectors' Club.
